The Vedas ( vid = to know,Vidya) are one of the earliest texts known to have been composed in India. The language of vedas is described as vedic sanskrit . The vedas are four : Rig is oldest ,and the other being Yajur,Sama, and Atharva. The vedic texts were memorized and orally transmitted by Brahmin from generation to generation.
Brahma Sampradayam is the disciplic succession of gurus starting with Brahma. It encompasses the beliefs and teachings of Madhvacharya, his Dvaita Vedanta philosophy, and Sadh Vaishnavism
Rig Veda is the oldest known Vedic Sanskrit text. It consists of hymns praising deities, cosmology, and rituals. Its early layers date back to approximately 1500 BCE and are among the oldest extant texts in any Indo-European language
The Yajur Veda is one of the four Vedas. It contains prose mantras used in rituals and ceremonies such as those before the yajna fire. There are two main recensions: the Krishna Yajur Veda and the Shukla Yajur Veda
The Atharvaveda or Atharva Veda or Atharvana Veda is the “knowledge storehouse of atharvāṇas, the procedures for everyday life”. The text is the fourth Veda, and is a late addition to the Vedic scriptures of Hinduism with about 6,000 mantras in 20 books.
The Samaveda, is the Veda of melodies and chants. It is an ancient Vedic Sanskrit text, and is one of the sacred scriptures in Hinduism. One of the four Vedas, it is a liturgical text which consists of 1,875 verses. All but 75 verses have been taken from the Rigveda.
